To impart to our students knowledge and understanding of Islam delivered to us by The Holy Prophet (saw) & His Holy Progeny (as), in order that they grow up to be responsible youth and committed individuals. We aspire to provide them with the necessary skills to enable them to contribute to the well-being of the society in which they live.

Our goal is to create an environment where Muslim students can feel comfortable in their identity and have a space to connect with friends and peers. Together, we aim to strengthen their faith and prepare them for both this life and the afterlife. Our aim is to instil in our students an awareness of the needs of others, both locally and globally, so that they can contribute to the well-being of society.
Bayt al Qaim Madressa has a dedicated team of teachers, as well as experienced professionals in the leadership team. Each term is carefully planned to deliver lessons from the MUS syllabus and engaging extracurricular activities to keep our students involved and enthusiastic.

Curriculum (What is taught)
Islam is a 'complete' religion - however, one has to know the different aspects of this Religion to understand it thoroughly. Like all other Madressa’s, we aim to provide a curriculum of the following subjects:
FIQH or Islamic Jurisprudence, teaches about the basic concepts of Islam and various other aspects of Religion. Chapters include Furoo-e-Deen, Najasaat, etc. Additionally, on progressing to higher levels, the students are taught to refer to the Taudheehul Masaa'el (Islamic laws) of their Mujtahid, along with discussions & logical proofs on our Aqa'ed (Islamic beliefs).
TAREEKH or Islamic History, tells us about the history of Islam, anecdotes & factual information about the Prophets, Infallibles (Ma'sumeen) & their Companions. On progressing to the higher levels, students are taught to derive lessons from Islamic history, and learn to reference the incidents with the Holy Quran & the Sunnah (Ahadith) of the Ma'sumeen (AS).
AKHLAQ or Islamic Ethics, is all about the importance of good manners and how to apply them in our lives. Chapters include: love for parents, honesty, qualities of a good Friend, and much more. On progressing to higher levels, students learn to reference certain recommended and nonrecommended Islamic code of ethics from the Holy Quran & the Sunnah (Ahadith) of the Ma'sumeen (AS).
AQAID is about the belief or faith in the fundamental aspects of Islam. Chapters include Tawheed, proving the existance of Allah, Usool Ad Deen, knowing Quran, Surah Fatiha, Surah Ikhlaas, Asmaa Al Husna and much more.
Textbooks consisting of the above subjects are used as teaching tools for each class and can be purchased from the Madressa at £6.50 each. These textbooks also contain activities relevant to the lesson being taught.
In addition to this, children participate in jamaat salaah led by our resident aalim. Boys are encouraged to recite Adhan and Akamah. This is followed by an assembly which focuses on specific topic suchas key Islamic dates, global issues and building a connection to the Imam of our time, Imam Mahdi (ajtf).
Homework and Rewards
Homework is an essential part of learning therefore; students are asked to complete homework tasks weekly. Students that successfully complete their homework, are rewarded at the end of each term. A rewards structure has been implemented in classes 1 – 5 whereby students can earn points for good effort, outstanding homework, regular attendance and excellent behaviour. Students are presented either a good effort, bronze, silver or gold certificate, in a special Rewards assembly.
Classes
Bayt Al Qaim Madressa comprises of seven classes. Students are allocated to classes based on their age. Classes 1, 2 and 3 are taught through practical elements utilsing various learning strategies and techniques – Islamic stories, Islamic videos, creative Art and activities. Classes 4 & 5 access the curriculum through a range of learning styles such as in-depth group discussions, presentations and project based learning. Classes 6 and 7, engage in class discussions, debates on contemporary issues and quizzes.

Timings
Madressa commences at 10.30am and ends at 2.00pm. The Madressa day comprises of four lessons with a break for lunch, salaat and assembly. Students are required to arrive on time. In accordance to our Lateness policy, students that are continuously late will be issued with a warning.

Class 7 students have the option to wear a plain black jumper and plain black hijab.
Hijab Policy - All girls must observe the correct hijab at all times in the Madressa.
Extra-curricular activities
Bayt Al Qaim Madressa offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities to allow children to learn and develop important skills such as creative arts, sewing, sports/multi-skills activities, poetry and recitation, gardening, charity events, educational visits, interfaith programmes and more.
